Nocturnal Animals and the Urban/Rural Contrast

I went to see Nocturnal Animals with a Q&A with director Tom Ford. The film as a whole is an intense thriller, with a fantastic turn from Aaron Taylor Johnson as an unhinged killer. It tells the story of Susan, an art collector, who is haunted by a novel written by her ex-husband (Jake Gyllenhaal) that is a thinly veiled revenge story and threat.

Set in both Los Angeles and the Texas desert a common motif used in the film is the contrast between rural and urban as the story switches from reality to the fictional world written by Jake Gyllenhaal's character. This is a parallel we are also using in our music video in order to make our intended meaning clear to the audience.
The urban Los Angeles, where Susan reads the novel her ex husband sends her

Rural Texas, where the characters of the novel exist
